A quick post before I start studying for my last final…
This year has been absolutely GREAT. So many ups and downs, highs and lows, so many new great friends. I am so excited for the next three years. This year flew by.
I have many interviews in the upcoming days and I am hoping on deciding in the next week or so what my options are for the summer, but I am staying in New York City.
I cannot wait to share more details of the upcoming plans for Months of April. I will share other things as well in a more lengthy post about this year.
Time to study for math…
All the best,
April Rose Gabrielli
I really do.
JEEZE! Life has been so busy. Its been hard, but I’m loving it. Music keeps me grounded.
SO! I have done many things since I’ve last posted (Sorry ‘bout that!) but the more notable things i’ve done have been…
That is pretty much the bulk of it, I will be sure to post my summer plans as soon as they are solidified. Things are a-brewin’! Oh god, it’s late.
Sure it might be 1:54am on the morning of my 19th birthday…
BUT I just finished recording a new song for Months of April!
It covers a crucial new storyline and transitions awesomely into the Act I Finale!
There is never an inappropriate time for creation.
As an intern for Suellen Vance I was able (and honored) to attend the reading of Central Avenue Breakdown on Sunday March 11th. So many emotions ran through me before, during and after the reading. It was such an honor to be in the presence of such a delightful and dangerously talented group. The show’s material is incredible, yet I believe the reason this show will succeed is because of the amazing team they have. Step by step I am watching this production flourish wildly. There is so much more I can write, I just have no clue where to start.
As for my show, right now some scenes are unrecognizable. It’s absolutely incredible. Cut a song, added many scenes to develop some of the lost story lines, added a new upbeat song for Jaden, I am on fire lately! (LOL) I’m even adding some character traits that I bet an audience member of the last production, wouldn’t even see coming! I believe a lot of what i’ve noticed in my own show has come from watching the way Central Avenue Breakdown has been coming along lately. I’ve been charting different story lines and making sure things connect, start, end, have a turning point. I’m getting to know my show more, even though I didn’t think that was humanly possibly.
GROWTH IS BEAUTIFUL.
Observation is my biggest key to success as far as writing and re-writing dialogue. I’m really making progress.
In other news…
My incredibly talented brother and his two friends have a kick ass band, you should probably check out their page, like it and enjoy their music by CLICKING HERE!
